It's an honour to lead a unique organization like Greater Vancouver Gavel Club (GVGC), which straddles Toastmasters and the local youth community. We owe so much to the late Annie Wang, who built GVGC from the ground up.

We've been running for eleven years. I help make this possible by providing administrative support and guidance to our staff and elected member executives. As a District 21 official, I liaise with our province-wide Toastmasters District on exclusive opportunities, such as workshops facilitated by contest-winning speakers and involvement in our annual District Conference.

More critically, though, I strive to create a semi-professional yet fun atmosphere where our members learn and grow. I believe that developing a unique speaking style and taking on close-knit leadership opportunities is crucial to forming one's identity. This is why I and all our Counselors are guiding mentors, but our MO is letting our members participate and steer GVGC as much as possible. I believe the earlier you start Toastmasters, the better!
